Siargao ranked first for the best places to visit in Southeast Asia

One of the famous islands in Southern Philippines, Siargao ranked first in the travel magazine, Lonely Planet for the top 7 of the best places to visit in Southeast Asia.

Siargao is very well known for its tear-drop shaped island, having best surfing spots, and different local bars, cafes, and friendly community that will welcome you warmly.

At second place is Amed in Bali, Indonesia, followed by Cao Bang in Vietnam, and Khao Sok National Park in Thailand. To complete the Top 7, Luang Prabang in Laos, and Gili Air in Indonesia joined the list.

“This underscores the growing global appreciation for the Philippines’ diverse and breathtaking landscapes, the richness of our culture, and the warmth and love of our people,” said Frasco.

Tourism Secretary Christine Frasco was pleased with the good news and expressed her gratitude by recognizing Siargao for its peoples’ pride and victory, to showcase the beauty and culture of their community, and a proud moment for the Philippines.

“This achievement motivates us to continue our efforts in promoting sustainable tourism and preserving the natural wonders of our beautiful archipelago,” Frasco added.
