Although considered “betrayed” by her previous running companion, Isko Moreno, who served as mayor of Manila City from 2019 to 2022, Lacuna claimed she will always consider Moreno to be her “little brother.”
Honey Lacuna, the incumbent mayor of Manila City, submitted her certificate of candidacy upon Thursday, October 3, pursuing her second term.
She told reporters she genuinely feels betrayed, which is a sense shared by Manila City citizens.
This was visible during the support assembly for Lacuna’s party-list, Asenso Manileño, prior to her candidacy filing at Manila Hotel.
Individuals have been heard chanting, “Walang magbabalik!” referring to Moreno’s possible reappearance.
