“I will not see you for an incredibly long time,” says Adele, taking a break right after her Las Vegas residency

Adele announced during a concert in Munich, Germany last Saturday as part of her Las Vegas Residency that the 10 shows she is putting her music career on hold indefinitely to focus on her personal life.

“I will not see you for an incredibly long time, and I will hold you dear in my heart for that whole lengths of my break. I will fantasize about these shows and any shows that I’ve done over the last three years, and I really, really hold them in the bottom of my heart forever,” an emotional Adele said.

“It has been amazing, I just need a rest. I have spent the last seven years building a new life for myself and I want to live it now. I want to live my life that I’ve been building and I will miss you terribly,” she added.

The popular singer has spent the past three years performing her fourth studio album, 30. The album, which has been released in November 2021, is inspired by the singer’s experiences and worry after her divorce and its impact on her son’s life, as well as parenthood and fame.
