PAGASA reported on Wednesday that the La Mesa Dam is now overflowing, with the water level reaching 80.16 meters as of 5 a.m.
The water from La Mesa Dam is bound to affect low-lying places near the Tullahan River in Quezon City.
“All the residents living in the aforementioned areas especially those near the river banks are advised to be alert for further increase of water level along Tullahan River,” the weather bureau said.
The southwest monsoon has brought torrential rainfall to Metro Manila starting Tuesday night, producing floods in several areas.
According to PAGASA, rains with possible flash floods and landslides will occur in Metro Manila, Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Cavite, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro, Palawan, and Antique.
