Green spaces, happy faces for Muntinlupeños

Muntinlupa is referred to as Emerald City as despite being one of the most urbanized cities in Metro Manila, it has green patches on its map, which is unique for Metro Manila. It is also rich in tourism and is known as the “Gateway to Calabarzon” owing to its location as the National Capital Region’s southernmost city.

Mayor Ruffy Biazon implemented the 7K Agenda, which stands for Kabuhayan (livelihood), Kalusugan (health), Karunungan (knowledge or education), Kaunlaran (progress), Kapayapaan/Kaayusan (peace and order), Katarungan (justice), and Kalikasan (environment). Hence, one of his projects is the newly established park at Bayanan Baywalk, which is a joint venture between the City Government of Muntinlupa and the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).

“We have a shared responsibility to maintain the cleanliness of the park. I urge the Muntinlupa City government as well as the officials of Barangay Bayanan to perform and discharge their duties accordingly for the benefit of our constituents,” Mayor Biazon said.

Urban Green Space and Recreational Park is a vital initiative focused on raising environmental awareness and encouraging inclusive community development. The park, which is available to the public, includes newly planted grass, exercise facilities, a PWD friendly area, and an engaging playground for children. These features are intended to create a welcoming and pleasant environment for all people.

The project’s purpose is to strengthen the initiatives and it will be done with the goal toward turning the city into a more accessible, greener, and resilient place.
