Different touch of medal for 2024 Paris Paralympics

The 2024 Paris Paralympics medal showcased a different form of recognition – first record with the symbol of Eiffel Tower and Louis Braille method made for visually impaired athletes.

French jeweller Chaumet designed the iron medal casting a different identity for each medal; gold, silver, and bronze.

The designed medals were engrade with a low-angle side of the Paris Eiffel Tower together with engraved of code on sides — portraying the lines and touch of the universal Braille, originated from the French Inventor Louis Braille.

Braille is the system of writing through symbols (dots), consisting of codes and letter characters made for visually impaired persons. These codes were embossed surrounding the medal for proper identity and easy identification of the athletes.

The city of Paris has been the pioneer of claiming two identified medals specifically made for 2024 Paris Paralympics and Olympics.
