The City Government of Tanauan, under the leadership of Mayor Sonny Perez Collantes and Vice Mayor Dodong Panganiban Ablao, formally recognized the 2024 Top 10 Business and Real Property Taxpayers in a ceremony held on July 14, 2025.

This annual recognition program is part of the city’s continuing efforts to foster strong partnerships with the private sector and acknowledge their crucial role in advancing local economic development.

The event was also attended by members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, along with department heads and representatives from the business community.

In his keynote address, Mayor Collantes emphasized the importance of public-private collaboration in delivering key services and driving inclusive growth.

“We recognize that behind every successful community are partners in progress,” he stated. “Our local development is strengthened by responsible taxpayers who help fund essential programs for the benefit of our people. Through this initiative, we extend not only our gratitude but also our commitment to further building a business-friendly Tanauan.”

The program was implemented in collaboration with the Tanauan Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO) led by Ms. Marilou Blaza and the City Treasury Office under Mr. Fernando Manzanero. Both offices play key roles in promoting transparency, efficiency, and modernisation in tax collection and permitting systems, aligned with the city’s “Ease of Doing Business” agenda.
