Miss World Philippines – Laguna recently held its two-part Preliminary Competition last March 30, 2025 at Robinsons Galleria South, San Pedro and on April 13, 2025 at Metro Central Mall, Santa Cruz.
In the first round, the thirteen candidates from different municipalities shared their wise answers for the head-to-head challenge. The candidates were asked, “If you would have the opportunity to change one thing about yourself, what would it be and why?,” filling the segment were statements that highlight the candidates’ charming personalities and setting the Preliminary Competition to a wonderful start.
“If I could change anything about myself, I’d definitely be less hard on myself,” said Chriszia Pagkaliwangan from Alaminos, Laguna. “I think that sometimes I get caught up in overthinking and feel like everything always has to be perfect; but I’d love to enjoy the journey even more and not worry about the little things so much because it’s true what they say that life is about the journey and not the destination.”
Pagkaliwangan won first place in the challenge, followed by second placer Chrischelle Calma from Pila and Maria Mae Lozano from Pacita, San Pedro as the third placer.
Subsequently, the candidates were set to showcase their skills for the talent portion for the second segment of the competition, displaying their best talents and creativity on stage, wrapping up the first round of the Preliminaries.
Weeks after, the second round of the Preliminaries was held at Metro Central Mall, Sta. Cruz, Laguna consists of a Swimwear and Evening Gown Competition. The candidates set foot on stage wearing elegant pieces designed by Louis Pangilinan in dazzling blue and silver.
With the contribution of the sponsors and partners, Miss World Philippines – Laguna succeeded the Preliminary Competition, bringing them one step closer to their most-awaited Grand Coronation Night to witness the new titleholder of Miss World Philippines – Laguna 2025.
