The stage was set, the lights were blazing, and the cheers of the community filled the coronation night of Ginoo at Binibining Cupang 2025 held last September 6, 2025 at the New Barangay Hall Grounds, Cupang, Muntinlupa City. More than just a pageant, it was a showcase of skills and grace, carrying the true spirit of being a proud Cupangeño.
Ginoo at Binibining Cupang 2025 is only one of the many highlights for the celebration of the Feast of San Nicolas de Tolentino. As part of their tradition, the barangay held multiple activities organized by the Pamahalaang Barangay through the leadership of Kapitana Luvi Constantino.
Since the event was announced, it’s as if fate itself aligned and made the right candidates show up to the scheduled screenings. From evaluations, contract signings, and various checkings, the pageant was set with 14 candidates.
On the coronation night, the stage transformed into a dazzling spectacle of lights, music, and charm. The candidates took the audience on a journey through their Moulin Rouge inspired costumes as they performed their opening number.
As the night proceeded, the candidates played out their best struts, outfits, and confidence for the different segments of the pageant. Each Ginoo and Binibini flaunted their physique, hyping the crowd once more, with the Binibinis dressed in a red, sweetheart-one piece, while the Ginoos dash in their bright red trunks.
Timelessness, elegance, radiance. Three things that the candidates carried throughout their Formal Wear and Evening Gown competition, consistently styled in clothing pieces inspired from the late 1890s.
Then came the very highlight of the beauty pageant. Candidates picked their questions by draw lots which became the final factor in determining those who will be crowned.
After moments of nerve-wracking waiting and cheers from the audience, the finalists stepped back up on stage for the coronation. In the end, Karen Cipriano and Cole Auggie Santos placed 2nd Runner Up, Luisa Butay and James Loresca placed 1st, and Gea Charlita Aldea together with Sean Almeda were crowned as Ginoo at Binibining Cupang 2025.
From their winning answers, Sean Almeda highlighted the importance of impact of sharing information to which he stated, “I think content creators and influencers should know their audience well enough to understand that the information and lessons they share must be well conveyed. Because when information spreads and leads to misinformation, it creates a society where chaos erupts.” The statement spoke levels on the candidate’s drive for honest and careful sharing of knowledge to society.
Meanwhile, Gea Aldea bravely spoke for fighting discrimination, claiming that it is one of the biggest issues that the country faces. Aldea quotes, “In the modern world, I believe that we should stop discrimination because only God can judge all of us,” which emphasizes her belief in acceptance and inclusivity for all.
The two shared an emotional moment on stage as they let the weight of the crown sink in—not just as symbols of beauty and grace, but as living representations of the pride, unity, and spirit of Cupang.
In that spotlight, with sashes across their hearts and the cheers of their barangay rising into the night, the candidates stood not only as winners of a pageant, but as a powerful reminder that leadership, when grounded in perseverance and purpose, is even more symbolic when shared.
In the words of Kapitana Luvi from her message to the youth of Barangay Cupang, “We are encouraging our youth to join the different programs and projects of our Pamahalaang Barangay to boost the confidence and morale of our youth; as well as to showcase their talents, skills, and grace.”
Let this message be a beacon of inspiration—reminding us that the youth are not only the hope of the future but also the strength of today. By holding events such as the Ginoo at Binibining Cupang 2025, we discover new role models of this generation and those that will come. May the young people of Cupang continue to shine as leaders, innovators, and changemakers who will carry and share the legacy of pride and progress starting from their barangay and to many more places.
