Filipino student graduates magna cum laude from Harvard

Eion Nikolai Chua, a 22-year-old Filipino student, graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University, earning both a Master’s in Chemistry (Chemical Biology) and a Bachelor’s in Economics. He was among nearly 10,000 graduates at Harvard’s 374th commencement on May 29.

Chua served as president of the Chemistry Club, was a teaching assistant, a research intern at D&L Industries, and a research fellow in Harvard’s Program for Research in Science and Engineering.

He is also a two-time John Harvard Scholar and a member of the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. Chua entered Harvard in 2021 after studying at International School Manila and MGC New Life Christian Academy.
