The Muntinlupa City government launched R-18 (Responsible 18) Month to mark teenagers’ growth into adulthood. It serves as Muntinlupa’s version of coming-of-age celebrations, similar to those held in Japan and South Korea.
In accordance with Muntinlupa Ordinance 2019-038, the City Government mandates an annual celebration in April to honor individuals who have reached the legal age of 18, with the goal of raising awareness of their newly recognized adult rights and responsibilities.
The R-18 Level Up concert was held on April 26, 2025 at the Filinvest City events grounds featuring outstanding singers including Maki, Sunkissed Lola, Angela Ken, Yuridope, Nameless Kids, and The Knobs.
As the event kicked off, a pre-show featuring performances by the winners of the R-18 Dance Competition was held on April 8, 2025. The Silakbo Dance Troupe energized the audience with a lively opening number, which was followed by an impressive performance by the Alta Dance Troupe that further uplifted the excitement.
Following the pre-show performances, the event officially began with a harmonic band performance by The Knobs and Nameless Kids. The Knobs stunned the audience with captivating performances that had them singing along to every song, whereas Nameless Kids delighted the audience with soothing melodies that left everyone feeling ‘kilig.’

Before the performances continued, Mayor Ruffy Biazon took the stage to encourage youth to accept their roles and duties as they enter adulthood. He also led the “Pangako ng Muntinlupeño” pledge, reminding the young individuals to uphold compassion, discipline, and the courage to stand up for what they believe in.
The energy surged once again as Yuridope presented a powerful performance, including the popular hit “Sa Susunod Na Lang”, which drew strong emotions from the audience. Sunkissed Lola then performed a touching show, with the audience singing along with their hearts out.
To cap off the memorable night, Angela Ken lit up the stage with passionate and self-reflecting songs, her voice echoing as the audience waved their lights and savored every note. Maki, on the other hand, delivered a final and powerful performance with exceptional stage presence, providing the audience with one last burst of energy before the concert concluded.
