Akari Chargers continue their winning streak

Akari Chargers got their 7th win against their sister team Nxled Chameleons, after a fourth deciding set 21-25, 25-19, 25-17, 25-18 in Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference.

The American wing spiker Oly Okaro contributed a huge 30 points in the game, 28 solid attacks from Okaro to seal the win over their sister team Nxled Chameleons. Michelle Cobb, setter and the team captain of Akari Chargers also stand out on the game 9 points for Cobb 4 attacks 1 block, 4 aces, and 18 excellent sets resulting as she is the player of the game.

Taka Minowa, the head coach of Akari Chargers said,“ As always, the first set is very weak and today, it happened again. We really need to fix it if we’re going to be a champion team because now we’re lucky.”

The Akari Chargers secured a quarter finals slot with an untouchable standing in PVL Reinforced Conference with 7-0.

Akari Chargers will face the bottom team Farm Fresh Foxies in Filoil Ecooil Centre on Tuesday, August 20.
