Petro Gazz Angels clinch a quarterfinals slot

The Petro Gazz Angels secured a match up with Creamline in the quarterfinals, after defeating Chery Tiggo at the Filoil Eco Oil Centre in San Juan City. The Angels breakdown the Chery Tiggo in 3 straight sets 25-20, 25-16, 25-12.

The victory secured them the sixth seed and their fifth win became the key to enter the quarterfinals.

The Head Coach of the Petro Gazz Angels, Koji Tsuzurabara said, “Today, everyone did a good, best performance. I hope to continue this pace in the next game.”

Wilma Salas, the import of Angels and Filipino-American Broke Van Sickle providing 21 ponts and 12 points to secure a win over the Crossover.

Their continuous offensive power proved too much for the Crossovers, pushing the Angels to their fourth consecutive victory and finishing the eliminations with a 5-3 win-loss record.

The Angels and the No. 3 seed Creamline Cool Smashers will face each other off in the quarterfinals on Tuesday as a result of this outcome.
